Ross Medical Education Center - Kentwood
The Dental Assistant program at Ross Medical Education Center – Kentwood is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in the dental field. The program includes both classroom instruction and hands-on training, providing students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the dental industry.
Throughout the program, students will learn about the anatomy of the teeth and oral cavity, dental terminology, infection control procedures, and dental equipment and instruments. They will also develop skills in chairside assisting, dental radiography, dental office management, and patient communication.
The program is taught by experienced dental professionals who have real-world experience in the field. Students will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art dental equipment, including digital radiography systems and dental simulators.
In addition to classroom instruction and hands-on training, students will also participate in an externship program, where they will gain real-world experience working in a dental office or clinic. Upon completion of the program, students will be eligible to take the Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) exam, which is offered by the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB). This certification is recognized throughout the United States and demonstrates a student’s competence and knowledge in the dental field.
