Midwest Technical Institute – Quad Cities

Midwest Technical Institute (MTI) offers a Dental Assistant program at its Quad Cities campus. This program prepares students for entry-level positions in dental offices and clinics, where they will work alongside dentists and other dental professionals to provide quality patient care.

The program consists of both classroom instruction and hands-on training. Students learn about dental anatomy, oral pathology, dental radiography, infection control, and dental materials. They also receive training in dental office procedures, such as appointment scheduling, record keeping, and billing.

The hands-on training portion of the program allows students to practice the skills they have learned in a simulated dental office environment. They learn how to take and process dental x-rays, assist with dental procedures, and perform basic laboratory tasks such as making dental impressions.

The Dental Assistant program at MTI is designed to be completed in less than a year, with day and evening class options available. Graduates of the program are eligible to sit for the Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) exam offered by the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB).
