Indian River State College (IRSC) offers both Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene programs at its campus in Fort Pierce, Florida. Both programs are accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) and provide students with the necessary education and training to become skilled dental professionals.

The Dental Assisting program at IRSC is a 10-month certificate program that prepares students for entry-level positions in dental offices, clinics, and other oral health settings. The program includes classroom instruction and hands-on training in dental procedures, radiology, infection control, and dental office management. Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to take the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) certification exam.

The Dental Hygiene program at IRSC is a two-year Associate in Science degree program that prepares students for licensure as registered dental hygienists. The program includes classroom instruction, laboratory work, and clinical experiences in dental hygiene care. Students learn about oral anatomy, dental hygiene techniques, patient assessment, radiology, and dental hygiene care for special needs patients. Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to take the National Board Dental Hygiene Examination and the Florida Board of Dentistry Examination.

Both the Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene programs at IRSC provide students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the field of dentistry.
