George Washington High School offers a Dental Assistant program for students who are interested in pursuing a career in the dental field. The program provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to assist dentists in providing quality dental care.
Students in the program learn about dental anatomy, radiology, infection control, dental materials, and chairside assisting techniques. They also receive training in office management and patient communication skills. The program includes both classroom instruction and hands-on clinical experience.
Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to take the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) certification exam. Passing this exam leads to certification as a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA), which is recognized in all 50 states.
The Dental Assistant program at George Washington High School is an excellent opportunity for students who are interested in the dental field to gain valuable knowledge and experience. Graduates of the program are well-prepared to enter the workforce or continue their education in a dental-related field.
