Gateway Technical College offers a Dental Assistant program that prepares students for a career in dental assisting. The program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to assist dentists and dental hygienists in a variety of clinical settings.

The program covers a range of topics, including dental anatomy and physiology, dental radiography, dental materials and procedures, dental office management, and patient communication. Students will also receive hands-on training in the college’s dental clinic and will have the opportunity to participate in a clinical externship at a local dental office.

Upon completion of the program, graduates will be eligible to sit for the Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) exam offered by the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB). They will also be eligible for Wisconsin state certification as a Dental Radiographer and for certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
