Dental Careers Foundation of Indianapolis
The Dental Careers Foundation of Indianapolis offers a comprehensive program for those interested in pursuing a career as a dental assistant. As a dental assistant, you will play an important role in helping dentists and dental hygienists provide quality care to patients.
The program offered by the Dental Careers Foundation includes both classroom instruction and hands-on training. You will learn about dental anatomy and terminology, infection control procedures, dental materials, and dental procedures such as restorations and extractions. You will also learn about patient communication and management, and how to assist dentists and dental hygienists during procedures.
In addition to classroom instruction, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience through clinical rotations at local dental practices. This will give you the chance to apply what you have learned in a real-world setting, and to build your skills and confidence as a dental assistant.
Upon completion of the program, you will be prepared to take the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) exam, which is required to become a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA). With your CDA credential, you will be qualified to work in a variety of dental settings, including private practices, clinics, and hospitals.
