Central New Mexico Community College (CNMCC) offers a Dental Assisting program that provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become entry-level dental assistants. The program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation and offers both certificate and associate degree options.

The certificate program is designed to be completed in three semesters and includes courses in dental anatomy, radiography, infection control, and dental materials, among others. In addition to classroom instruction, students in the certificate program will also complete clinical experiences in a dental office setting.

The associate degree program is designed to be completed in four semesters and includes all of the courses in the certificate program, as well as general education courses. Students in the associate degree program will also complete additional clinical experiences, as well as a capstone project.
