The A.W. Beattie Career Center offers a comprehensive Dental Assistant program for students who are interested in pursuing a career in the dental industry. This program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to work in a variety of dental settings, such as dental clinics, hospitals, and private practices.

The Dental Assistant program at A.W. Beattie Career Center covers a wide range of topics, including dental anatomy and terminology, infection control procedures, dental radiography, dental materials and instruments, and dental office management. Students also learn about patient care, including how to take and record patient histories, perform vital signs, and assist with dental procedures.

The program is led by experienced instructors who provide hands-on training in a state-of-the-art dental laboratory. Students have the opportunity to work with real dental equipment and materials, practice dental procedures on manikins, and assist in a clinical setting under the supervision of licensed dental professionals.

Upon completion of the program, students will have the skills and knowledge necessary to sit for the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) certification exam, which is required for dental assistants in many states.

The A.W. Beattie Career Center’s Dental Assistant program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) and provides students with a solid foundation for a successful career in the dental industry. Graduates of the program have gone on to work in a variety of dental settings and have found success in their careers.
