University of New Mexico – Gallup
The University of New Mexico – Gallup offers a dental assisting program that provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to work as dental assistants. The program includes coursework in dental anatomy, radiology, infection control, and chairside assisting. Students also gain hands-on experience through clinical rotations in dental offices. Upon completion of the program, graduates are prepared to take the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) examination to become certified dental assistants. The program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation and is designed to meet the standards set by the American Dental Association (ADA).
