Skyview High School – Nampa School District

Skyview High School, located in Nampa, Idaho, offers a comprehensive dental hygiene and dental assisting program for students interested in pursuing a career in the dental field. This program is part of the Nampa School District’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) program, which provides students with hands-on training and real-world experience in a variety of career fields.

The dental hygiene program at Skyview High School is designed to prepare students for a career as licensed dental hygienists. Students learn about dental anatomy and physiology, dental radiography, patient care, and preventive dentistry. They also gain experience working with patients in a clinical setting under the supervision of licensed dental professionals. Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to take the National Board Dental Hygiene Examination and the clinical board examination to become licensed dental hygienists.

The dental assisting program at Skyview High School is designed to prepare students for a career as a dental assistant. Students learn about dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control. They also gain experience with dental procedures and techniques, as well as working with patients in a clinical setting. Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to take the Dental Assisting National Board Examination to become certified dental assistants.
