Buckeye Career Center
The Dental Assistant program at Buckeye Career Center is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to become a successful dental assistant. The program is a two-year course of study that includes both classroom instruction and hands-on training in a clinical setting.
Throughout the program, students learn about dental anatomy, dental materials, radiography, infection control, and dental procedures. They also receive training in chairside assisting, dental office procedures, and patient communication.
In addition to classroom instruction, students in the Dental Assistant program at Buckeye Career Center have the opportunity to gain practical experience by working in a dental office. This hands-on training allows students to apply the knowledge they have learned in the classroom to real-world situations.
Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to take the Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) exam, which is administered by the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB). This certification is recognized by employers throughout the country and can enhance job opportunities for graduates.
