Ashland County-West Holmes Career Center
The Ashland County-West Holmes Career Center in Ohio offers a comprehensive dental assistant program that prepares students for entry-level positions in the dental field.
The program combines classroom instruction with hands-on training to provide students with a well-rounded education. Students learn about dental anatomy, terminology, infection control, and dental procedures. They also receive training in administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records.
In addition to classroom instruction, students gain practical experience by participating in clinical rotations at local dental offices. These rotations give students the opportunity to work with real patients and perform dental procedures under the supervision of licensed dental professionals.
Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to take the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) certification exam. This certification is recognized nationwide and demonstrates a high level of knowledge and proficiency in the field of dental assisting.
